| The Group's principal activity is to distribute chemically-derived pharmaceuticals, biopharmaceuticals, specialty chemicals and agrochemicals. The Group's business is organized into three segments. The Health Sciences segment sells the active ingredients for generic pharmaceuticals, vitamins and nutritional supplements as well as products used in preparation of pharmaceuticals. The Chemicals and Colorants segment sells specialty chemicals used in plastics, resins, adhesives, coatings, food, flavor additives, fragrances, cosmetics, metal finishing, electronics, and air-conditioning systems. The Crop Protection segment sells herbicides, fungicides and insecticides, as well as a sprout inhibitor for potatoes. The Major customers of the Group include companies in the industrial chemical, agricultural, and health science industries. The Group's customers are located throughout the United States, Europe and Asia. |
