The Group's principal activity is to invest in all types of energy business-related assets including petroleum and natural gas-related assets, gathering, processing and transportation assets. The operations of the Trust include acquisition, development, exploitation and disposition of these assets and the distribution of the net cash proceeds from these activities. As of 31-Dec-2008, the Group held interests in excess of 18,600 wells with approximately 5,600 wells operated by it and the remainder operated primarily by other oil and gas companies.
