| The Group's principal activities are the development and manufacture of heavy vehicles and engines and to provide other support services. It operates through the following segments: Trucks, Construction Equipment, Buses, Penta, Aero and Customer Finance. The Trucks segment develops and manufactures goods vehicles. The Construction equipment segment develops and produces wheel loaders, articulated haulers, motor graders and excavators. The Buses segment develops and manufactures chassis, bodies and complete buses. The Penta segment develops and manufactures power systems for marine and industrial purposes. The Aero segment includes manufacture and maintenance of military and civilian aircraft engines. The Customer Finance segment develops and coordinates financing, insurance, treasury, real estate and related services. The Group operates worldwide. In 2007, the Group acquired Ingersol Rand and Lingong. |
